INAUGURAL 2011 EVENT DELAYED.

We recently announced that we are out of time to secure the support necessary to stage the inaugural Around Australia Race & Rally events as programmed  in 2011. Please read this announcement.

We are continuing to build on the work done to date. We thank everybody for your encouraging emails and ongoing support.

Safety is high on our agenda. The Crusing Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) and the Ocean Racing Club of Victoria (ORCV) are providing us with invaluable assistance in this regard.   • Bunbury - Saturday 25 June 2011 & Sunday 16 October 2011.
  • Esperance - Friday 01 July 2011 & Sunday 23 October 2011.
  • Adelaide - Saturday 09 July 2011 & Sunday 30 October 2011.
  • Melbourne - Saturday 16 July 2011 & Sunday 06 November 2011. 
  • Sydney - Saturday 23 July 2011 & Sunday 13 November 2011.
  • Southport - Thursday 27 July 2011 & Friday 18 November 2011.
  • Brisbane - Saturday 30 July 2011 & Monday 21 November 2011.
  • Keppel Bay - Thursday 04 August 2011 & 26 November 2011. 
  • Hamilton Island - Monday 29 August 2011
  • Cairns - Wednesday 05 September 2011
  • Darwin - Friday 16 September 2011

Race Finishes when last yachts home reach  Hamilton Island end of November 2011.

  • Nine ports from which to start and finish the Race. Crew changes permitted. Race 'Home' port to 'Home' port duration around 112 days (7,300+/- NM).
  • Asian based participants can start and finish in Broome in Western Australia.
  • Multiple ports from which to join the Rally. Crew changes permitted. Rally duration around 12 months.
  • We extend a warm welcome to entrants from outside of Australia.
  • Overseas entrants can select a designated port around the coastline of Australia that they would prefer as their preferred ’home’ port .
  • Sports Sponsorship arrangements will allow qualifying overseas participants to access visas for sufficient duration to allow them to complete the Rally.
